Missions
The mission of FBC De Soto is to be a grace filled family empowered by the Spirit to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus for the glory of God. We seek to fulfill this mission locally, regionally, and internationally.
Over the past several years, FBC De Soto has ministered in various ways to our local community through our “God Loves De Soto” campaign. We want to show and tell the good news of Jesus Christ to those around us. We show God’s love through various acts of kindness, but desire to share the greatest display of God’s love: This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10
We also send mission teams of all ages out to various regional locations. Our desire is that God would be seen as glorious by those we minister to.
We are in the process right now of adopting a people group internationally. Our goal is to plant churches and reach people who have never heard the gospel. Once this group is identified, we will be sending mission teams there several times a year.
